Do you remember how, as a child, you anticipate an upcoming event with excitement and wonder? That's how I felt on Tuesday, November 24th when Sightline and Speidel Construction moved into its new building. It has only taken five years from when I signed the contract on the property. I'd like to have a dollar for every time I said, "I wish I had known that before I decided to do this!" I could have spent a few semesters in a construction management class to learn some of what I have, but then I wouldn't have this fantastic Morton building (steel-clad, post and beam) to work in. It's a lot like childbirth... once it's over, you think, "That wasn't so bad!" But unlike childbirth, if I ever decide I want to build another office/warehouse space, just shoot me!
