AIRFIELD MARKING TRAINING

Needless to say, the safety and efficiency of airfield operations at any airport is very important. The airfield marking system is a fundamental component of operational safety at every airport providing a critical function: to convey accurate information to pilots and drivers to safely navigate the airfield. The overall performance of the pavement markings determines the quality of information being received.

Therefore, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) specifies the following in Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5340-1M, Standards for Airfield Markings:

Paragraph 1.3.8. Personnel involved in the application of airfield surface markings should complete training which includes surface preparation, removal and application of surface markings, and maintenance standards.

When you complete Airfield Marking Training, you can maximize the efficiency of your program and improve overall performance, FAA compliance, and airfield safety. This training program is currently in the approval process for American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accreditation under ASTM E2659-17 Standard Practice for Certificate Programs. More Details
